Hooray for blisters!

I am happy to report that I have blisters the size of Texas on both feet! I am sore and stiff and can barely walk but SO happy. Yea for blisters!!!!! I was so worried because both feet were burning like crazy. They were hurting so bad I could not pinpoint the pain. I walked the last 2-3 miles because I was so afraid of injury.
I definitely need to calibrate my IPod Nike shoe thing because it reported 19.07 miles this morning. It was my first time to use it. I made a side trip to the bathroom at Lakeshore but don't think it added that much! Whatever milage it was, it was a long way and we did it!
We are all marathoners!

It was great to see at least one of the Clarks off the bike and pounding the pavement. You did awesome considering everything. On the calibration, I used some marks on the Ridgeland trail that the Leukemia folks put down. It starts at the old crafts center, and is in fluorescent green each 1/4 mile. It is not hard to do, but do calibrations for walk and run.

Hey Jana:
As fast as you were hitting the pavement I don't know how you even gave those blisters time to hatch.

Take it easy this week.

Glad to see you are up and going again, blisters and all. Walking does not give me blisters, thank goodness. Next time you see me at Strawberry, honk your little British mini cooper horn at me. I just have such a not fun time waking up on Saturday mornings. If I can get that extra hour of sleep, then my whole day goes better. I know group is fun, and at some point, I will show up. I miss seeing everyone!

I was hoping the August 4 party would be a Butt cookoff since Mark threw down the gauntlet.
Think that's possible?
